Ok, so I thought Olivia was this happy, easygoing, go-with-the flow kinda girl. Boy, was I wrong. She has turned into the wants to be held all the time, eat only what I want when I want it, and do whatever I want and not what you want kinda girl.
Which brings up my problem... the girl won't eat babyfood!! I've tried rice cereal mixed with breast milk, mashed bananas, mashed peas, mashed carrots. Now, this is not like I've only tried for a few days and I'm a little worried. I've been trying to start solids for 1 1/2 months! She will suck on prezels and pickles, as well as sliced apples and whole carrots. This leads me to believe that she doesn't like the soft/mashed foods texture. Has anyone heard of a baby refusing foods like this?
Anyone have any ideas and/or advise for me? I'm in no hurry to wean her, I'm perfectly happy with extended breastfeeding. I just worry about her nutrition. Maybe I can skip the mashed foods stage altogether and let her practice safely on whatever she will eat?
I need ADVISE! Thanks!

Why dont you try the mesh cloth spoon. It's meant for babies who don't have teeth. Maybe it will change the texture for her. They sell them at babies r us and Target. You will totally know when you see it.
Chandler LOVED to nurse. I kept trying food from the time he was 4 months old, but he would have none of it. Finally at 8 months old when we had couscous for dinner, I though to myself, this stuff looks small enough that a baby could eat it safely, I'll try it. He loved it and it was his first food. Chandler was a tubby baby so I didn't worry that he wasn't getting enough to eat; I realized he would just rather that he spend the time with me nursing. The only way I weaned him from that, after he was 1 year old, was that I went away for a long weekend. He really loved it. Now that he is my last, I treasure the time that I took to nurse him so long. He never had anything else for a very long time. Now he is 8 and we are still very close.
