Not trying to scare anyone but simply raise awareness of Pediatric Stroke, this is a VERY informative article. Everyone should read! Yeah for recognition by the AHA!

It seems as though now that I have lived through the experience with Olivia, I see stuff about pediatric stroke everywhere! We are very fortunate that Olivia is one of the lucky ones!

Olivia is growing so fast!
She is now rolling onto her hands and knees in preparation to crawl. It's funny because she gets on her hands and knees and then starts crying because she doesn't know where to go from there! She is also pulling up to stand on everything. She is successful in doing this but not very stable, so we have to help her and watch her closely. I am amazed at how fast they grow. I love my babies!

Olivia only likes milk
Ok, so I thought Olivia was this happy, easygoing, go-with-the flow kinda girl. Boy, was I wrong. She has turned into the wants to be held all the time, eat only what I want when I want it, and do whatever I want and not what you want kinda girl.
Which brings up my problem... the girl won't eat babyfood!! I've tried rice cereal mixed with breast milk, mashed bananas, mashed peas, mashed carrots. Now, this is not like I've only tried for a few days and I'm a little worried. I've been trying to start solids for 1 1/2 months! She will suck on prezels and pickles, as well as sliced apples and whole carrots. This leads me to believe that she doesn't like the soft/mashed foods texture. Has anyone heard of a baby refusing foods like this?
Anyone have any ideas and/or advise for me? I'm in no hurry to wean her, I'm perfectly happy with extended breastfeeding. I just worry about her nutrition. Maybe I can skip the mashed foods stage altogether and let her practice safely on whatever she will eat?
I need ADVISE! Thanks!
