What stroke?

Olivia has a passionate obsession with paper. Any kind is sufficient for her, but she especially loves magazine paper. During Sunday dinner I set her on the floor with a magazine and she went to town. She was totally enthralled with ripping it into little tiny pieces. It takes a lot of hand coordination and thinking for a 6 month old to do this. We were watching her very closely and both hands were very strong. Yet another miracle that the stroke didn't effect her hand strength!

You can clearly see that the pile in her lap is fairly large. She sat on the floor with this task for an hour! I didn't know babies her age could do ANYTHING for that long except sleep!

Olivia in the grass

This is Olivia's first time sitting in the grass. I took similar pics of Ava the first time she was in the grass, so I felt I needed to with Olivia, also. She had a blast!

Olivia's sitting up!

This is the first video of Olivia sitting up. She just turned 6 months old.

It is so great to watch her learn and grow. This is the perfect age, and I totally wish I could just freeze time. Infants this age smile at everyone, laugh at anything, play all the time, and most of all sit right where you leave them! I am loving life and just adore my girls!

Sunscreen Fun

So I was in the kitchen grinding up baby food, trying to be a good, heathy mommy. I had the girls in the living room watching one of Ava's shows. They were being really quiet and good, and I starting to wonder why...
I soon found out, after I turned the corner from the kitchen to the living room, why they were so quiet. Ava got a hold of the sunscreen we'd used earlier and felt like Olivia needed some (a lot) on her hair.

The pics below are AFTER the bath, when her hair is still full of sunscreen. Unfortunately sunscreen is water resistant.

The funny thing is, while I was diligently scrubbing Olivia's hair, Ava had found some baking soda (that we use to freshen the diaper pail) and was pouring it all over the room. I was too upset to take pics of that, but I'm sure you can imagine what it was like. Nobody ever told me that being a mom had many different job descriptions, including clean up crew.

Photo shoot, cont.

I decided to put some more of my favorite pics up of the girls. I hope you like them!
